A glimpse of the past, that's how I would describe the adventure to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. Located at Bagac, Bataan, its quite surprising how they were able to develop such a wonderful place in the province. I went there without "grand" expectations since we just a wanted an overnight get-away, plus, we got a good deal out of it. For Php 3,200, an overnight stay with breakfast, tour, free use of the beach and a cultural show, I think its kinda worth our money already.
When we got there, we were served with the famous Filipino "gulaman" drink and we were quite surprised of our hotel room's intricate designs and details, the old houses around that looks exactly what I would read in the books as to what Filipino houses look like back in the days. I loved the classic feel and ambiance of the place.
After check-in, we walked around and checked out the beach. It was a lovely, lovely sunset and a calm beach (I usually go to beaches like La Union and Zambales, so yeah, this is calm for me. No big waves! haha!).
At 6 o'clock, we were suppose to have a quick rest before dinner but saw that their cultural show has started already. It was a series of lovely performances that we quite enjoyed.
The performance was done around past 7 and so we made our way to their Italian Restaurant - La Bella Teodora.
It was a very nice restaurant with a truly Italian-feel! They even have a selection of pizza that's cooked in their brick oven. So yeah, we ordered pizza, pasta and wine.
So, since we're soooooo full after dinner, we decided to walk around the "village" and go on a tour ourselves (and scare ourselves too! haha!)
The next day, we had a quick breakfast, went to the beach, checked-out and attended the tour. It was pretty awesome! The houses in Las Casas are practically the real houses! Most of them have the real houses' parts and some furnitures too.
The last few pictures were taken from their most posh and expensive hotel, complete with Hermes Toiletries (yes, you read it right! HERMES toiletries!!!) fancy eh?
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I was amazed that such "little village" was made for us to get the vibe and feel of how it was in the past andmaybe you guys should try it too! :)
