I've always been a beach bum since I was a kid. The beach used to be my playground when I was a kid since its located at the back of our house in La Union. I've been hearing about Anawangin Cove in Zambales for sometime but since I'm not a fan of an overnight beach spot without good restroom, we went to Anawangin on a day trip. And yes, the view was amazing!
According to some friends who came with us, the CR in the area is new since a lot of people already go to the cove. The place is still actually for camping still since you have to bring your own tents, food and water to be able to spend a few days in the cove.
You get there via Pundaquit, take an hour or an hour and a half boat ride all the way to the cove and back. There's also a trail for trekking in the other side of the cove, a way to get a good view of the entire spot. :)
