Travel and Food: Baguio

Travel.

Since this blog will be mostly about travel and food. My first entry aside from an introduction about the blogger would be a place that is close to my heart --- BAGUIO.

Since I was 5 I've been going up and down the mountains of Baguio because it's near La Union, my mum's province. Back in the day, I would spent days, weeks with my Lolas, titas and titos. I remember spending Christmas at Hyatt before the earthquake happened.

Fast forward college days, I actually spent a year and half in UP Baguio. It was actually the time I experienced independence because I lived alone but not literally alone since I got my blockmates as roommates somewhere around Engineers hill.

Apart from the cold weather, endless walks and flashbacks of youth, I consider Baguio as home. With home comes good food. So apparently, this is not a travel entry after all :)

So I guess you might want to visit the following spots in Baguio for some good R&R:

1. PNKY

I stayed here for a couple of times already. If you want a cozy, feel at home experience then PNKY home is the place to be!

This is PNKY's receiving/common area.

This is one of the PNKY rooms. Cozy, yes?

Yes, you get a complimentary breakfast for 2 when you check in. Try their organic, healthy breakfast and of course their ginger tea. :)

2. Eat at -- Sizzling Steak

Just because they have the best steak and yummy sansrival in town!

Mouthwatering T-Bone Steak!

3. Baguio has the best variety of street foods!

Fruits, Candies, Nuts, Green Mangoes with Bagoong or asin, Singkamas, name it! :)

I guess I'll be writing more about Baguio. You will never hear the end of this place in my blog. It is a good roadtrip destination, I tell ya... and when I do go up to this place the song of Eraserheads come to mind -- "Magdra-drive ako hanggang Baguio.... Gusto kong matutong magdriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!"
