TRAVEL: Bangui Windmills - The Ilocos Chronicles :P

It's been a while since my last post and yes, guilty as charged, I totally forgot my blog username and password. I finally had the time to retrieve everything (thank you, yahoo mail). I practically have a lot of travel and food backlog entries here so I'll try to put in each as far as I can remember.

Recently though, we went to an Ilocos 3-day, 2 night trip. It was quite a long ride but then again, Ilocos is yet another home for me (parang ang dami ko nang home no?). My mom's roots is from La Union. I was born in San Fernando, La Union and lived there for quite some time so yeah, I've been up north a few times and I'm glad I was able to visit again.

I'll probably put an entry for each good destination, first off in my list is the Bangui Windmills. The last time I visited the place was when I was in college…

It was really windy and Mr. Super Sun was really up around 12 noon but we were amazed by the beauty of these huuuuuuuuuge windmills in front of us!

The beach sand is glowing and pink-ish. You won't dare swim on this because the waves were really, really strong and high but equally beautiful to look at.

We got hungry after taking a lot of pictures with the windmills and yes, we tried the famous Kang-Kangan Cafe at the back of one of those windmills.

The yummy drink of goodness that you see above is their fresh buko shake, beautiful eh? They offer different meals which are really affordable --- try the bagnet, of course! :)

Bangui Windmills is one for the books when you visit Ilocos!
